Just messing around with Christmas lights.....

Sooooo I had this idea from Pinterest to take some pictures of the boys with a strand of Christmas lights  and I had this vision in my head of what they would turn out like...........AND of course things with little ones don't always turn out like you think they will! :) I had no idea that Landon had a HUGE fear of a strand of Christmas lights!!!!!! I sat him down and you would have thought I threw him in a hornets nests. Bless his little heart..........so I took some of Jetty and then one of Jet & Callie. Still need to figure out my camera a bit, but it was a good 1st try!

This was as close as Landon would get to the lights....and he was catching up on emails :)

He was watching big brother and kind of looked like he might get interested, but no!

Callie girl blends in a bit, but this was sweet of Jetty loving on his big girl!

Maybe I'll try again later....or next year! :)

Buddy the Elf!!!!

Friday we received a package in the mail "To: Jet & Landon, From: North Pole".....so it was high priority to open ASAP!! Jet opened and found the Elf on the Shelf book inside! We read the book and it explained that our Elf would come to our house the next morning and return each morning until Christmas! Jet was soooo excited!! We decided to name our elf.......BUDDY! (daddy and mommy had a little fun with the name too:) )
Jet was so sweet the first morning Buddy arrived...he ran into Landon's room, woke him up and was talking so fast telling him where Buddy was and how he got here and what all of it meant, it was so cute!! Jet has really been conscience of being on his best behavior since Buddy arrived and is watching him all day long! :) (can i do this all year??)

Below is the box from the north pole!

The 1st morning, he was hanging on mommy's lamp!

2nd morning, he had spelled HO HO HO out of cheerios! silly Buddy!

It's been so much fun and its only day 2. Stay tuned.....Buddy is pretty silly I hear!

This year we are going to put up lights outside for the first time....good luck to daddy working on that next week! :) I took some pictures below of the boys in their pj's recently that turned out soo cute. I LOVE their Christmas pj's!

Silly boys!

Landon can't let go of his milk :)

Jetty decorating his tree for his room!! He enjoyed putting the ornaments on the tree all by himself....and this OCD momma actually left them where he put them.....I promise i didn't go back later and move them around. :) REALLY!

 All finished!! he did great!

 Two thumbs up!

 Mommy finished decorating her trees!!

finally got some stocking holders this year.....with no mantel they usually don't make an appearance until Christmas morning!

My Christmas Tree Wreaths that I made this year.....so excited to put them up! We aren't quite finished with the outside, thanks to Pinterest I have more ideas to put to test! But love the wreaths!

Looking forward to a busy holiday season! Some of our plans are.......Jet is singing at our Christmas church event again, we are going on the Polar express train ride, Santa trip to the mall, holiday craft fair that my friends and I are in this year, a few holiday parties, and I'm looking forward to Elf on the Shelf and our 25 Days of Christmas this year!!!!

love and miss you all!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!! Clint fried a turkey in our new turkey fryer and we ate at home with our boys! The turkey turned out great and Jet helped me make some sides and desserts. We took our desserts over to Karree & Bob's house and let the kids play for a bit. It was a wonderful, peaceful day to reflect on all of our blessings. The biggest thing I'm most thankful for is the unconditional love of Jesus Christ and the grace and mercy he shows me even when I do not deserve it. Our other wonderful blessings are our two healthy boys, Clint's job that he loves, our house that keeps us warm, our church family,  & our families near and far that love and support us unconditionally! We have also been blessed this year with making a good group of friends near our home that have become a wonderful support group for me and our kids, and I'm very thankful for them!!!

Below are some pictures of the boys before church last Sunday. All dressed in their Turkey best!! :)

Landon turns 1!!!

Landon turned one last week and we went to Birmingham to celebrate with family and friends!! I was so thrilled that my grandparents and sisters came down for the party!!!

We also celebrated cousin Sydney's birthday, she turned 4 two days before Landon turned 1. :) So we had a princess party at lunchtime and an Owl party at dinnertime......it was quite a day!! But a lot of fun!

Landon's party was decorated in an OWL theme! I found some cool ideas on pinterest and Emmie, of course, brought them to life! He had an owl shaped party cake and a round smash cake which you will see in some pictures....the older kids had more fun "smashing" then Landon!

Below are some of my favorites pictures of the day....Enjoy!!
